Memory Shows How We Are Connected To The Whole World: Part 1
Join SHOPP’s Caregivers Program, JASA, and The Aesthetic Realism Foundation as we discuss memory through a painting by the American artist Grandma Moses titled “Moving Day at the Farm,” painted when she was 91. We will ask, do you agree that Ms. Moses shows that, even at an advanced age, we can give beautiful form to our memory? The way Ms. Moses welcomed the world of the past and present shows how we want to put together the opposites of self and world. When we see that the whole world is in us, when we learn to welcome the world more and more, memory has the possibility of becoming better and better!
