Our innovative approach is emphasized by two areas:

Wellness Program/Proyecto Salud is a comprehensive wellness program staffed by a Registered Nurse and Fitness Instructor providing multiple evidence-based classes, nutrition education, meditation, exercise classes (group and individual) and health management.

In collaboration with CUNY Lehman College School of Nursing and other community health partners, Proyecto Salud specifically is a wellness curriculum providing health promotion and wellness activities aimed at reducing the impact of diabetes and heart disease among elders. At the core of the program is a specially tailored eight week educational and self-help series aimed at improving self-awareness of health management, lifestyle concerns, exercise, diet and stress management.

Casa Boricua Performing Arts Program is a robust program providing opportunities for older adults to be involved in performing arts productions which includes developing, directing and performing works of drama, comedy, musical theater and dance.

Goal is to provide culturally competent programming allowing our members to maintain healthy, increase socialization and utilize the arts to allow participants to showcase/express their talents.

Opportunities for volunteering are always available and encouraged.
